“A real ‘comfort’ dessert for fall and winter” Like cheese with your pears? Skip the mascarpone and almond paste and purchase a nice soft dulce gorgonzola

Ingredients:

  • Pears
  • Mascarpone Cheese
  • Almond Paste
  • Fig Jam
  • Urban Accents Mulling Spices
  • Ristorante Teatro Balsamic Glazing Sauce

Directions:

  1. Peel the pears and poach in the Urban Accents Mulling Spices (or other mulling spice) until soft. When done, scoop out the core and create an opening for the filling.

  2. Mix the mascarpone with a little almond paste and fig jam to taste. Stuff the mixture in the warm pears. Put on a serving plate or bowl and drizzle a little warmed glazing sauce over.

  3. This is a very elegant and unusual dessert.

  4. *If substituting with the gorgonzola, crumble and mix with a little of the fig paste, stuff that mixture in the cored pear.
