Guaranteed to warm you up on a cold winter night.

I've looked around and haven't found any other Irish Coffee recipes where the whipped cream was spiked with Bailey's, but that's the way it was served to me in Ireland, and I think it makes all the difference.

Ingredients:

  • hot water to warm your mug
  • 1 cup hot coffee
  • 1 tablespoon brown or turbinado sugar
  • 1 3/4 oz Irish Whiskey such as Redbreast or Jameson
  • Splash of Bailey's Irish Cream for the whipped cream
  • gently whipped cream with Bailey's whipped in (optional)

 


Directions:

  1. Fill your mug with hot water to warm and dump it out.
  2. Fill mug 3/4 full with hot coffee
  3. Stir in sugar until dissolved
  4. Stir in whiskey
  5. Pour whipped cream over the back of a spoon to float it on the top of the coffee
  6. Enjoy!
